2019 Spring/Summer Panther elite Tryouts

The Pleasant Hill Panthers will be holding open tryouts for its elite girls spring/summer travel teams. The Panthers are a competitive travel organization for girls ages 8 – 18 as of Dec 2018. The teams will play 11 travel tournaments in USSSA, USA, NSA and PGF across California from Feb through the first week of Aug.

All players and parents should check in at the table near the below fields for your player’s number and coach registration sheet.  After your daughter gets her number, report to the coaches on the age specific fields listed below. Please be prepared to start at the designated start time. This means you should show up 30 minutes early to register and warm-up. It is only required to be at one of the tryout dates but if your player isn’t going to be at both we suggest she let us know at check in and also make the coaches aware at the beginning of the tryout. Players should bring all of their softball gear including cleats, sliders, glove and a water bottle.

First tryout

Nov 11, 2018

10U, 12U, 14U and 18U

PHMS 1, 2 and 3. Check in will open at 2pm. Tryout from 2:30-5:30ish

 

Second tryout

Nov 12, 2018

10U, 12U, 14U and 18U

College Park and Valley View soft ball field. Check in will open at 4pm. Tryout from 4:30 – 7:30ish

 

18U will be open to girls 15-18yrs old.

Make ups will be held per team manager discretion and team needs.

Fall Ball Tryouts

 

Pleasant Hill Panthers Fall Ball

 

 

Girls fast pitch softball tryouts Monday Aug 13th with a possible make up the following Monday Aug 20th. Notice of the second will be posted on the Panther Facebook page, and the Panther website. Please follow both.

 

 

We are having tryouts for the 2018 Panther travel ball team. The teams will compete in four tournaments starting end of Aug wrapping up end of October.  Practices will likely be 1-2 nights per week, per managers and field schedules.

The Fall Ball program is designed to be both developmental and competitive with an emphasis on skill refinement and a heavy focus on strength and conditioning.  Tryouts are open to all girls.

 

The goal is to have single teams in the 8U Barton, 10U Cagiga, 12U Scheafer,14U Wood and if interest are shown 16U ages.  The team determined by players age as of Dec 31 2017.

 

You must register your player for tryouts by following this link. http://assn.la/Reg/?r=1:245950    All players wishing to tryout must register prior to August 12th.

 

Tryout schedule is as follows.

Monday Aug 13th; pitchers at catchers 5pm, all other players at 5:45pm.

Please show up 30 minutes early to sign in and warm up.  All tryouts will be held at Pleasant Hill Middle School fields near the tennis courts.

 

It is mandatory that you attend one of the tryouts. If your child makes the team, costs will be approx. $420.00. Once your player receives an invite you will be given a link to register and asked to make a 50% commitment deposit online within 72hrs. Cost includes four tourney registration fees, PH Park & Rec fee, field equipment a jersey and hat or visor. It does not include tournament fees if a team chooses to participate in any additional tournaments.

8U Panthers bring home hardware

 

Congratulations to our Panthers 8U Barton team for bringing home the second place hardware from Burlingame last weekend. These lil ballers battled through some tough competition for them trophies.

 

The Championship game stayed tied 0-0 through 7 innings but unfortunately ended in their favor in an international tie breaker.

 

Good job girls! Way to start the season.

14U Panther Schichnes 2nd place finish

 

Congrats to our 14U Panthers Schichnes team for finishing second in their very first tournament in Napa last weekend.

Girls battled through some close games but ran into a buzsaw on the ship. Looking forward to the season with this exciting group of talented players. Good job ladies!!

10U C MSR gathers hardware in their first tournament

 

The 10U C MSR team came together just weeks ago and has already collected hardware for the Panther Case. Their hunt was a challenge which included an international tie breaker semi final game they were able to win. The Panthers narrowly lost in the Championship but proudly brought home a second place finish in their FIRST tournament.

Congratulations Panther 12U

 

The 12U have done it agian. They have now won three of thier last four tournaments. This one was a nailbiter vs a tough Breeze team that the Panthers ended up winning in extra innings. What fun!! So PROUD of these girls.
