Panther Elite Tryouts Coming Soon!

Pleasant Hill Baseball Association will be holding open tryouts for 10U (depending on interest) 12U and 14U on Saturday Nov 4th and Saturday Nov 11th for the 2018 season for the Pleasant Hill Panthers Elite Teams, a premier travel softball program.

If your daughter would like to play travel softball rather than rec, she should tryout for the Panthers. The teams will compete at a high level (USSSA, USA, and PGF) and is one of the most reasonably priced travel programs in the Bay Area. For those chosen, practices will start sometime in Jan or early Feb and run into August. Players who make their High School team will receive a discounted rate.

A PHBA website log-in required to register online. If you do not have a log in, you must create one or reset your password, as well as a profile for the player trying out for the Panthers.

  • The times for tryouts are:
  • Sat Nov 4th 2pm
  • Sun Nov 11th 2pm
  • The Panther tryouts will be at the Pleasant Hill Middle School fields located directly behind the school (near the tennis courts).


Important Information

  • Ages are as of Dec 31st 2017
  • players should tryout for their appropriate age bracket
  • All participants, including returning players, are encouraged to attend both dates. However, it is only required that you attend one. If your player is going to miss one please have her communicate which to the coaches.
  • Tryouts will start promptly, so please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your designated start time.
  • Parents are required to accompany each player to the tryouts, sign a waiver and attend a brief meeting.
  • Please do not wear PHBA tournament team, fall ball or Panther jerseys or baseball caps to the tryouts.
  • All players should be dressed appropriately for a softball tryout and should have the proper safety equipment
  • Additionally, players should also have a hat, shirt tucked in, glove, bat, batting helmet, etc.
  • The Panther teams may attend a National event which could be outside CA. Those participating should expect travel, and accommodation expenses in addition to players fees.
